Googie
Born in Portsmouth, Virginia to a Navy musician and his seamstress wife, Googie’s childhood was filled with music and dress-up. It therefore stand to reason that live theatre became his lifelong passion, and he is proud to call Atlanta his home for the last thirty years. In that time he has performed in numerous plays, musicals and puppet shows including A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder (City Springs Theatre Company), Next To Normal (Alliance Theatre), Mighty Bug (Center for Puppetry Arts) and Wicket: A Parody Musical (Dad’s Garage, music by Haddon Kime). Googie’s work with special needs adults (Jerry’s Habima Theatre) brings him much joy, and he spends his days as a stay-at-home Dad and hospital clown with Humorology Atlanta (ha!). As a long-time company member of Out Of Hand Googie has collaborated in the creation of many shows, interactive games, and other unique experiences. This is only a small selection.
